I played regular canasta for a while. But could never get beaten this version is cool.... Makes you really think......rt

I still see a few things that could be fixed for a final version. I have played this game for quite a while just so I could give an accurate review. Before I get started I would just like to say I absolutely love this game. I havent seen much difference between the game difficulty levels. Its about the same. Under expert your partner and your AI opponents should not make very many mistakes. It seems like the level it is at for all three right now is easy. I have noticed another crucial issue. The AI and my partner do not seem to realize when the draw pile is low and they need to meld what they can quickly. I think even under easy each AI player should know the urgency of melding when they are not going to get another turn. Also I have noticed sometimes when the AI (my partner) asks to go out, they will discard cards we have melded on the board already. Or they discard a wild when they could have applied it to the cards we have already melded and go out without discarding. This can be frustrating when they throw a joker (thats 50 extra points wasted.) It could have resulted in another canasta. The red threes are not random enough. Its not realistic for red 3s to come out at the start of the hand almost every time. Also in a real game of canasta its rare for one team to get all 4 red threes. There is nothing more frustrating than when the AI opponents get all 4 red 3s three hands in a row causing you to lose. That is just artificially difficult and unrealistic. In canasta if you cannot go out, you want the least amount of points against you in your hand. The AI partner doesnt seem to understand this. For example, the other team has 5 aces on the board. I have 1 ace and my partner has 2. I throw my ace with the pile frozen to indicate to my partner that its safe to discard their aces or lay them down with a wild to get rid of the points in their hand. Instead the discard a 10 having 4 of them on the opponents board. It was safe to do so, but my partner held on to the two aces instead. We lost that hand in points because they were not trying to get rid of the highest points against them in their hand. I can understand if its questionable whether it would be safe to throw it then you hold onto it. I would also like to see the ability to have no cards in your hand and pass to the next player without going out because you do not have a canasta yet. I find myself having to throw cards I can add on my board because I do not have a canasta. Maybe have a pass button that only pops up when that situation arises. Also I would like the option where you have the to have 2 canastas to go out.

I love canasta and find this fun to play, I just dont understand my AI partners logic sometimes. I feel it is written to avoid red canastas. For example, I just completed a game where there were six 4s melded and my partner played a two on the fours to make a black canasta and discarded a 4 while the discard pile was frozen. I get the concept of playing a card that is of the same type as one of our melded piles, because the odds of the other team having a pair of that card are slim to none, but why not make the red canasta and discard the wild card? It is maddening! This isnt the first time it has happened either. Please fix this to play for the Reds, especially when they are easily obtainable. Thank you!

I like the concept and implementation but the AI of both the opponents and the partner make too many mistakes, chiefly through stupid discards. Fix this and well have a great game!

I purchased the pro version thinking it might be better,but no. Your partner is still a moron throwing away canasta cards. Then the rule that is wrong with most everyone I know. Having cards on table and holding two in hand to pick frozen pile. That is cheating for most but why make game better when charging for better version. Just add somethings and not fix others. Do not purchase stick with free version same stupid partner.

I have played canasta for more than 60 years. I love the game. I downloaded the free game and after two games bought the pro version. I thought sure the pro version would play correct. No not the case. Real Rules state you have to have the meld in your hand before you get the whole discard. You cannot use the whole discard pile to make your meld,just the top card. You have to have two of the same card in your hand to make your initial bid. After that one and a wild card can pick up the discard IF you have made your meld and the deck isnt frozen. Partner freezes the deck with a joker on his first turn. How stupid is that. Please fix this and this would be a 5 star game,

I learned of Canasta from my seniors l work for and got tired of losing to them lol, so l thought l would download the app to get some practice and it has really helped my game!!! Its great & l love the app game.

I like the graphics and speed. It could be a little more challenging but overall its a good version. The one thing that I dont like us the fact that I cant change the win/lose music

So frustrating to have one card away from a canasta and your "partner" throws away that card rather than playing it on what could have been a canasta and then the other sides goes out! URGH! Its like playing with a two-year old!

Lots of fun. Hard is best.

IS THE DEVELOPER EVER GOING TO FIX THESE THINGS??!! Or is he/she/they just totally incompetent?! Agree with commenter re discarding of canasta-making cards and of wild cards as if they were trash. Ridiculous! Also, despite "fix", game still permits use of ENTIRE discard pile to make minimum on initial meld. This game was better BEFORE the last update. Not worth buying or playing until its fixed CORRECTLY!

Fabulous game and hours of fun.

Game play and graphics are smooth and effective for the game. The AI is very poor both partner and opponents make ridiculous plays. i.e. Opponent will regularly discard red canastas. Will cross pack with black 3s I hand on first discard. Allows you to pick up discard pile with a number that has been closed due to canasta. You can use ALL the cards in the discard to create initial meld. Therefore if it is a large pile, it so no problem making 120pts.
