Canasta: Pro app for iPhone and iPad

Played the free version for a while, now decided to buy the pro version. Havent found any flaws this far, works great and the ui looks good (esp compared to other card games in the store). AI can definitely be improved - or Im just talented and have a lot of luck ;) so please, improve the AI of the components in the next version!

Love this game and love the latest update!!! The only reason I decided to purchase the paid version of this game is because I enjoyed the free version so much. I tend to support games that I enjoy a lot and also play a lot... this one is well worth the price. I have downloaded other games from this developer and have NOT been disappointed. Good job!

I am surprised by all the good reviews. This game does not follow the rules that I am used to from Yahoo games or Hoyle card games. I have played with more intelligent AI partners. Its not bad its just not challenging.

The app is visually quite appealing, but the play is atrocious. My opponents consistently throw away cards they need, and fail to go down when they could. My partner does the same thing. Sure, I win a lot, but I’d much rather have a partner and opponents who have some savvy about canasta. Suggest you hire a high level canasta player to help you fix the strategy.

I bought the pro version to be able to play a more challenging AI, but even on difficult its not much of a challenge to win.

Everything is great EXCEPT the opposing team will sit with more than enough points to open but fail to do so FOR THE ENTIRE HAND! This completely ruins the fun of competing to win...

Game becomes repetitive very quickly. Computer players just want to go out asap. Sometimes they meld with less points than required?? More times than not, the card I discard is played by the player proceeding me on the next turn. Also, I and my partner will be dealt several pairs, rarely 3 of a kind, while the computer is able to meld almost on their first turn using many wild cards. I find that I either get no wild cards dealt, or end with with five of them. Hence, not much skill involved. Its not long until each game seems the same. A couple of rounds and the computer goes out, and repeat, and repeat. Not worth buying this program.

I realize this is just a game, but at least make it enjoyable for the player and realistic to the real world!! Lets start out by pointing out some of the reasons I feel this program was written by an individual with no experience with the game of Canasta. The plays the BOT partner makes are downright ridiculous: holding four cards in their hand when three are already played by their partner. This is a 500 point Full Canasta and should never be held in the hand. Turning a potentially full Canasta into a Mixed Canasta before the partner has a chance to play. Using a wild card to put down ten points worth of cards when an open mixed Canasta worth 300 points lies open. And the idiocy goes on. Also, when the play is down to one card left for pick up, it is not okay to end the game when the discard is made prior to the final card pick-up. This game could be so good. The graphics are great and the speed is good, but the game playing is obviously not being addressed by the developer.
